Walk, run, cycle, swim for us – at home or abroad
Our staff and volunteers take on lifesaving challenges every day of the year. If you want to do your bit to help them, then why not take on a challenge of your own, and do something this year to help us raise the funds we need to help your local ambulance service to help you. Download a Sponsorship form here.
Keep it local and sign up to take part in an event near you.
There are many runs, walks and rides to take on both in our area and further afield . If you are taking on a challenge and could fundraise for us then drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org putting the name of the event in the subject line and we will be in touch to see how we can help!

Take a life changing trip
Ready to get right out of your comfort zone, get training and take on a once in a lifetime challenge?
We have linked up with Discover Adventure so that our intrepid fundraisers can book onto one of 4 amazing challenges and push themselves to the limit whilst raising money for us. All four challenges will be led by Discover Adventure’s experienced leaders, and whichever one you choose their staff will be on hand as you plan your trip to advise you on getting fit in preparation. Each trip requires you to commit to raising some money for us in addition to funding the cost of the trek, but our team will be on hand to help and advise you and we’ve chosen a partner that allows you to set your own fundraising target .
We hope that every one who takes a challenge on will donate the equivalent of at least half the cost of their trip to the charity – but we won’t set a minimum as we realise that everyone’s circumstances are different .
Read on to find out more about the challenges we have put together for you, and follow the link to book the one that suits your fitness level, availability and fundraising skill !
Cornish Coast to Coast Challenge
Spend a weekend trekking coast to coast across Cornwall for us. This trek will see you camp for 2 nights and walk around 24 miles over two days from Padstow in the north to Par Sands in the south – with some long steep hills and varied walking across rugged and remote landscapes.
Saharan Mini Adventure
This 5 day trek , supported by Berber guides and a small caravan of camels, as well as the Discover Adventure team, will see you trek for about 40 km . The challenge lies in walking in this terrain, and camping in the desert, but the reward will be an opportunity to experience the most amazing night skies !
Venice to Rome Cycle
This is our big cycle challenge . You will ride an average of 90 miles a day, and after the first 100 miles this trip becomes relentlessly hilly as you travel through Tuscany and Umbria. This trip combines diverse, challenging cycling with a wonderful Italian experience but is not to be undertaken without training!
Everest Base Camp Trek
This trek is for those who are looking for the ultimate challenge both in terms of adventure and fundraising! Over 19 days you will trek via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar through beautiful valleys, dense forests and across glacial rivers, enjoying tantalising glimpses of the mighty Everest before you reach your goal of Base Camp. There is also time built in to trek to the summit of Kalapatar, the famous Everest viewpoint, and to wonder at views of highest mountain on the planet at sunrise. Your training regime will need to prepare you for difficult mountainous terrain but the biggest challenge may well be dealing with the altitude. The team will send you a thorough training guide when you register and we have allowed plenty of time for you to get physically fit and to meet your fundraising goals.
